The challenge
Mi Halcon needs to develop an operational framework that allows security guards to operate drones safely and compliant with regulations. In the past, several drone programs in the first customer security companies fail due to the crash of drones and the lack of integration of generated images. Autonomous flights and flights over people were forbidden under local regulations
Our approach
We adapted state-of-the-art operational procedures for Autonomous Flights and Flight Over People extracted from previous Part 107 waivers to country regulations and operational needs. After drones chose (DJI Enterprise Duo and Matrice 200) we developed a whole stack platform that includes a custom Android ground station and gives support to those flight procedures and operational monitoring. We also integrate the whole flow of information to command rooms and end-users.
Results
More than 3000 autonomous flights and the first waiver for non-pilot-on-command solution for security & surveillance in the region that allows detecting intrusions and illegal buildings. Mi Halcon is growing in services to several companies in Uruguay and Argentina.
